Shaheen Afridi scalps his first County wicket in form of Labuschagne

Pakistan's top pacer, Shaheen Afridi, kickstarted his County Cricket career with the Middlesex Cricket team as the left-arm quick made his debut for the side facing Glamorgan in his first outing.

Shaheen Afridi has had a fairytale of a start,  as he had scalped the wicket of none other than the No. 1 Test batter, Marnus Labuschagne. It was indeed a treat to the eye for cricket fanatics to see the top and emerging cricketers facing each other on the county platform.

Afridi's pacy and short delivery length turned out to be the weakness of the Australian batter, and that got his stumps rolling over. However, the delivery was good enough to make Marnus leave the ball and strike off the rear end of his willows, straight away hitting the stumps.

It wasn't the first time Shaheen dismantled the Australian bloke. The recently concluded three-match Test series between Australia and Pakistan saw Shaheen scalping the crucial wicket of Labuschagne in several instances. He has taken his wicket in all the three matches of the series proving that one of Labuschagne's nemesis would be Shaheen Afridi.

Coming to the match, Shaheen Afridi took a commendable three-wicket haul in his debut match. He also had the opportunity to register a hattrick to his name after picking up the wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Sam Northeast on consecutive deliveries. But, Kiran Carlson's crucial appeal to his wicket has denied him a dream come true hattrick.
