Rising all-round star Alice Capsey hails Nat Sciver's captaincy skills

The young all-rounder, who impressed everyone at the recently concluded Women's Hundred 2022 praised Nat Sciver's captaincy skills.

Eighteen year old Alice Capsey has been more than impressive with both the bat and ball in hand in the recent times for whichever side she has played- whether it be for Oval Invincibles or for the England side. The youngster, who won the second consecutive Hundred title with her side Oval Invincibles has high words of praise for stand-in skipper Nat Sciver. Sciver has taken over the reins of the national side from Heather Knight who is recovering from a hip surgery. 

“Nat’s obviously very experienced, a great cool and calm person to be around for a youngster like me,” she said.

“It was amazing to play under her captaincy in the South Africa series and the Commonwealths and I’m really looking forward to being around her again. She brings that level of composure that, as a younger player, it is really comforting to be around.

England all set to rebuild starting from their series against India

England were left disappointed after being denied a bronze medal in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games 2022 because of the defeat to New Zealand. They will be looking forward to getting back to winning ways.  Ahead of their series against India, she said:

“We’ve had the disappointment of the Commonwealths but we’re parking it and putting all our focus into the India series,” 

“We’re really motivated. It’s a really exciting series that presents a lot of challenges along the way, we have to adapt and overcome. We lost in the Commonwealth Games, however that was a few weeks ago, we come off The Hundred with a fresh start, a new series and all to play for.”
