Afghanistan sees an abundance of spinners that have attracted the eyeballs of global T20 franchises. Rashid Khan, one of the most sought-after players in T20 cricket, will once again headline the upcoming first-ever Big Bash League (BBL) foreign draft, which takes place on Sunday (August 28).

Rashid, however, is hopeful that Afghanistan's batters will get picked by clubs, enabling them to have a great chance to showcase their hitting talent to the world.

"I would be happier to see the batsmen rather than the bowlers, We have so many bowlers playing all around the world, but I would be so happy if our batsman took that responsibility to play in all the leagues. If they get that proper opportunity, they can show to the world how good they are." - Rashid told Cricket.com.au

Hard-hitting batters Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz will be up for grabs, having proven their mantle by playing for Afghanistan at the highest level.

Rashid added that Zazai and Gurbaz would be welcome additions to any club, and expressed his excitement about seeing several Afghan players in demand.

"They are very destructive batters, especially in the short format. They've done so well so far and if they get the opportunity, I'm pretty sure they're going to deliver their best,"

"I'm so excited we're going to see the Afghan players in the draft and hopefully they will be picked in different teams where they can express their talent, get the opportunity to learn more and get better and better."

A total of 27 Afghanistan players have put their names in the foreign draft including Rashid himself.
