BBL Final Preview | Perth Scorchers favourite by overwhelming margins against Sydney Sixers

Perth Scorchers would be primed to win the Big Bash League this season as Sydney Sixers struggle to put together 11 players for the final game on Friday, 28 January at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. If Covid-19 was not enough, Sixers who are chasing their historic fourth title have been hit by a series of injuries that has led them to field their assistant coach Jay Lenton in their last game against Adelaide Strikers. Things will get incredibly difficult for the Sydney based team even if they are able to field XI players considering that the well-oiled machinery of Perth has not lost any games at Marvel Stadium in the recent past. Match Details - Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers Date - 28 January 2021 Time - 2:10 PM IST Venue - Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Broadcast - Sony Sports Network Pitch & Weather Report The Marvel stadium has not been a fairly easy one to bat on. With the Big Bash League shifted to Melbourne in the times of Covid-19, the matches have taken their toll on the pitch and it has supported spin. There are high chances of rainfall in Melbourne on Friday, so it is quite possible that the game will be played under a closed roof. With ground temperatures soaring under such closed conditions, expect the pitch to get sticky later on. If you win the toss, choose to bat first.
