Rishabh Pant operated for Ligament Tear

India's wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant met with an accident last week while he was going to Roorkee from Delhi. He was taken to a local hospital before being shifted to Dehradun.

He was eventually airlifted from Dehradun to Mumbai for further treatment and is currently under the supervision of Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, the head of the Centre for Sports Medicine.

As per a report by Mid-Day, the keeper-batter has undergone a surgery for his ligament tear on his right knee. Pant will be monitored by the BCCI medical team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation

“On Friday morning at around 10.30 am Dr Pardiwala and his team conducted ligament tear surgery on his right knee, the surgery was performed for around 2 to 3 hours. The surgery went smoothly,” the report stated.

The report stated that the hospital didn't roll out any update and the BCCI will officially roll a statement on the same.

As per the first medical update by the BCCI doctors, Pant suffered from two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear on his right knee, injury to his wrists, and abrasion injuries on his back.
