The 25th match of the ongoing Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 will see Shivamogga Strikers [SS] lock horns with Mangalore United [MU] at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, August 20.
Having edged out of the top-4 following a comprehensive 8-wicket defeat against the Gulbarga Mystics yesterday, this will be an extremely crucial game for the United.
They will also be looking to improve their dismal NRR besides claiming 2 crucial points in order to sneak into the top-4.
But, for that to happen, Mangalore will need to bat a lot better than they did the other night. Apart from Abhinav Manohar, who scored a brilliant 34-ball 51, none of their batters could kick on and get a substantial score.
Their task will slightly easier on Saturday as compared to what they faced yesterday as they will be up against a struggling Shivamogga Strikers unit.
Having managed just a solitary win after 8 outings, the led Strikers are already out of contention for playoffs, but they will look to salvage some lost pride.
They will come into this game on the back of a 8-wicket drubbing at the hands of Hubli Tigers.
