Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) dynamic batter, Virat Kohli has been fined 50% of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code Of Conduct against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 21, 2024.

The star batter was seen displeased and annoyed after he was given out during the run-chase whilst playing a high-full toss when he was angry and stated that it was above the waist height.

At Eden Gardens, Kohli was caught and bowled by KKR's fast-bowler Harshit Rana while chasing 223/6. He looked in great form scoring 18 runs in six deliveries before he got out in the most unfortunate and controversial manner.

The celebrated batter's dismissal argued with the on-field umpire and alleged foul play after he was given out. He believed that the delivery sent down by Rana was a waist-high full toss, and should have been declared a ‘no-ball’ upon television inspection.

The decision exasperated Virat Kohli he walked in utter disbelief and agony, kicking the dustbin outside the the boundary ropes while returning.
