  • Ipl 2022 Virat Kohli Epic Around The Corner Says Rcb Coach Mike Hesson

IPL 2022 | Virat Kohli epic around the corner, says RCB coach Mike Hesson

The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has been difficult for former Indian skipper Virat Kohli. His rut with the bat is worrying many former players, netizens, and experts, with everyone asking him to take a break from the game.

However, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Director of Cricket, Mike Hesson, has backed Kohli despite his form and expects an epic masterclass soon.

While talking to the Times of India, Hesson explained, "It is not technical. He looked in really good touch today. He was unfortunate. I thought we going to see something special. Virat is as frustrated as anyone but we know that the epic one is around the corner."

Hesson feels the right-hander will bring up his top game in the franchise's last league game of the season. "We have got a huge game coming up. So there is no reason why it won't be in a few days' time," stated the former Kiwi coach.

Kohli looked fluent during his 14-ball stay against Punjab Kings on Friday (May 13) but could not convert his start into a big knock.

"He looked in good touch, he was aggressive, and he is doing everything off the park as well in terms of making sure he prepares well. I thought today was going to be his day, but one again," Hesson concluded.

The former Bangalore captain has managed 236 runs at 19.66, with a top score of 58, which came against Gujarat Titans (GT). His trademark knock is yet to come as the 'Chasemaster' is due to score a century since November 2019.
