IPL 2022 | SRH vs KKR - Fantasy Tips

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 25th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The pitch at Brabourne has favoured the batters till now, so we could expect another high-scoring contest between SRH and KKR.

Before the contest, let's look at some essential fantasy tips.

Untamed

Umesh Yadav: KKR's bowling efforts primarily depend on the Indian pacer. He has been in tremendous form in the tournament and is turning the clock back to when he was at his prime in his career.

IPL 2022: Umesh Yadav has bowled 20 overs so far in the tournament. In these 20 overs, he has picked up ten wickets conceding runs an economy rate of just 6.6. Most of his wickets have come in the powerplays, and he is breathing fire with the new ball.

Expectations: Umesh Yadav is picking up wickets every 12 deliveries in the tournament. So, in a spell of four overs, it is expected that he will pick up two wickets, giving away just 26 runs. Thus, he will be giving very high returns to the team and will be a must-pick for the match.

T. Natarajan: Natarajan has impressed everyone with his variety and the ability to bowl in the death overs. He has outfoxed many brilliant batters with his skills.

Natarajan has picked up eight wickets in 4 matches. His strike rate is 12, which means the bowler is likely to pick up two wickets in a four-over spell. This makes him a must-pick for the match.

Shilly Shally

Andre Russell: Andre Russell has been an essential part of the Kolkata team since his debut in the Indian T20 League. He has provided them with some match-winning efforts and strong finishes over the years. But the main concern with him has always been his consistency.

IPL 2022: Russell has scored 130 runs at a strike rate of 173.33. But his RPI for the tournament is 32.5. But out of the 130 runs, 70 runs came in one match. Leaving out his efforts against Punjab, his RPI is just 20 in 3 innings. His inconsistency is evident, making him a risky pick.

Kane Williamson: Kane Williamson had a pretty ordinary start to the campaign. But in the last two matches, he has picked up his form. As a result, he will be playing the anchor role in Hyderabad's batting efforts.

IPL 2022: In the 15th edition of IPL. Williamson has scored 107 runs off 109 deliveries. His strike rate in the tournament is 98.17, and his RPI is 26.75. The stats don't read much impressive, but he has regained his form with a half-century in the last match.

Kane is expected to keep playing the anchor role for his team successfully and consistently. His coming back in shape is a positive sign, but his tournament records make him a risky pick.

Pat Cummins: Pat Cummins made an unreal effort with the bat in Kolkata's match against Mumbai. But his prime trade is bowling, and he lacks form with the ball in hand.

IPL 2022: In two matches in the tournament, Cummins has scored at an s strike rate of 333.33. But with the ball in hand, his economy rate is 12.0, and he has just picked up two wickets.

Although he bats relatively lower down the order, not every day he will get to bat and even if he does, his consistency is not guaranteed. So, he will be giving points mainly through his bowling, but being out of form with the ball in hand, Cummins is a risky pick for the match.

Nicholas Pooran: In the four matches in IPL 2022, Pooran has scored 73 runs. However, 34 runs of these came in the last game. He is seemingly reviving his form, but his inconsistency has been a concern from the initial stages of his career. Hence, Pooran will be a risky pick for the day.

Unhailed

Nitish Rana: Nitish Rana is the dynamic factor in the KKR middle order. But in IPL 2022, he is yet to deliver as per expectations. He has just scored 69 runs off 51 deliveries in the five matches. But in KKR's last game, he got a good start and scored 30 runs. Thus, it appears he is coming back in form.

Abhishek Sharma: SRH has entrusted the job of opening their innings to Abhishek Sharma with Kane Williamson. The young left-hander failed to deliver in the first two matches, but he showed his elegance and composure in the match against CSK.

He continued his excellent form in the next match against GT, scoring 42 off 32 deliveries. Thus, his form makes him a valuable pick as he can be a significant contributor.

Stealthy Warriors

Sunil Narine: Sunil Narine has not been in the wicket-taking form he is famous for. He has picked up four wickets in 5 matches. His strike rate is 30, which refers to the fact that he would pick up a wicket every two games.

But his economic rate of 4.85 has been brilliant. Even if he is not picking up wickets, he will still contribute points with his economical bowling. Adding his ability to bat, which can come in handy on any given day.

Aiden Markram: Aiden Markram looked in brilliant touch in his first match of the season. He scored 57 runs in the match, and it was evident that he would be the mainstay of the SRH middle order.

But since then, he has not got enough chance to prove his mettle with the bat in hand. However, if and when he gets a chance to bat, he may be an essential contributor.

Imposters

Ajinkya Rahane: Rahane has just scored 80 runs in 5 matches. His RPI is 16, and his strike rate is just 100. The top order of KKR looks brittle as Rahane fails to deliver.

Forty-four of his 80 runs in the tournament came in the first match. Leaving aside that effort, his RPI is just 9. His current form makes him a 'stay away' for the match.

Umran Malik: Umran Mailk's raw pace has impressed everybody. But he seems to lack control. He has conceded runs at an economy rate of 10.43 in the season and has just picked up three wickets in the four matches. His lack of control makes him an 'Imposter' for the match.
