IPL 2022 | RCB vs KKR - Fantasy tips

Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Kolkata Knight Riders is one of the biggest rivalries of the IPL. Over the years, this rivalry has gone from strength to strength, and now it is on the verge of adding another saga to that tale. The two teams will be facing off against each other in Match 6 of the season. However, before the match starts, let's look at the ideal picks for fantasy eleven.

Untamed: Must pick based on current form and previous records.

Faf Du Plessis: The RCB captain lit the centre stage against Punjab, scoring 88 runs off 57 deliveries. He snapped 121 fantasy points in the last outing, meaning his form makes him a must pick. One can also further choose him as the captain or vice-captain of a team.

Virat Kohli: The former RCB leader also looked in decent touch in the first game. He gave a feeling that his good times were not too far. The King, as they call him, also enjoys against Kolkata as his stats suggest - 774 runs at a strike rate of 128.1. Overall, Kohli can be significant in both minor and major contests.

Ajinkya Rahane: A steady 44 runs innings in the first match from Rahane gave KKR the start they needed. He scored 60 fantasy points in the game. Plus, his numbers against the Royals are whopping as well. In the 19 innings, Rahane has hit 639 runs at an SR of 129.4. Thus, the KKR opener could be a safe option to pick for the day.

Shilly Shally: This category of players you cannot trust blindly but can definitely back them from taking risks.

Mohammed Siraj: In RCB's last match against Punjab, Siraj picked up two consecutive wickets at a crucial match stage. But then he was slammed by Odean Smith in death when it was required for him to perform. So for today, he remains a risky pick as to how the day will go for him is not guaranteed.

Harshal Patel: The purple cap winner of last season was taken to the cleaners in the previous match. He gave away 36 runs in his overs, picking up just a wicket. He just picked 29 fantasy points in that game. Though form eludes him, records are in his favour and choosing him might be risky.

Umesh Yadav: This man has made a remarkable turnaround. From the imposters to the group of Shilly Shally players, this is some rise. He gave 58 points in the last match. Today, the venue for the game is DY Patil Stadium, where we saw that the seamers got assistance in the second half. So if KKR is bowling second, he will be a perfect option. But one should still be ready to lose points if he is called into the attack in the death overs under pressure.

Andre Russell: He is yet to walk out in the centre with the bat in hand. His strike rate of 150 plus in IPL indeed makes him a player one cannot avoid. But Dre Russ' consistency increases the risk factor in picking him up.

Unhailed: Players who do their job silently and also cost relatively lower credits

Dinesh Karthik: Karthik played the role of a perfect finisher in the match against PBKS. He gave 55 points and did his job for the team without even anyone noticing; he becomes a handy pick with a cost of just 8.5 credits. Also, he would have extra motivation playing against his ex-franchise.

Sunil Narine: Narine becomes a hot prospect when playing versus RCB. In the 60 overs he has bowled against them, the off-spinner has scalped 20 wickets at an average of 19.6. Meanwhile, in the season's opening match, he bowled 4 overs, giving away just 15 runs. He also contributed 29 fantasy points in the game. He looks in good bowling form and is sure to give some points. Also, instead of going for Russell, who will cost 10 credit points, one can definitely go for Narine (9.5 CPs).

Varun Chakravarthy: Varun Chakravarthy combined with Sunil Narine in the last match to strangle CSK batters. He scored a decent 33 fantasy points in the game. Picking him will ensure some valuable points at just 8.5 CPs. His numbers against Bangalore are staggering as well. His stats, you ask?

Innings - 5; Overs - 20; Wickets - 5; ER - 6.25; Average - 25

Stealthy Warriors: Players with potential but are yet to perform big in the IPL.

Anuj Rawat: In RCB's first match, he looked quite the part. He appeared to be a steady batter who would be giving consistent points with the batting part plus his fielding ability. He scored 45 points in the last match. So, it's safe to include him in the squad.

Venkatesh Iyer: After his brilliant exploits in the last season, he did not make an impact in the first match. He gave 22 points, but his consistency in the previous match and bowling abilities make him a good pick for the day.

Imposters: Players not in form and might deduce valuable points for fantasy players.

Wanindu Hasaranga: A lot was expected of the 'mystery spinner' in the last match. But he got thrashed for 40 runs in four overs and just picked up one wicket. His return of 27 fantasy points in the match was below expectation. So, he is not in the right form and picking him might be risky.

Shivam Mavi: This youngster is believed to have a lot of potential. But with a return of just 4 points, players should stay away from him. His numbers, too, suggest those mentioned above. He hasn't a single RCB wicket, and his economy (8.14) is also on the higher side.
