IPL 2022 | Josh Hazlewood to be available for RCB from April 12

Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood will likely miss two more matches of the Royal Challengers Bangalore and will be available for the franchise from April 12.

Hazlewood was a part of the historic Test series against Pakistan that ended on March 25. However, he is yet to join the RCB bubble and will be doing so in the next couple of days. After which, the 31-year-old speedster will undergo a mandatory quarantine period of three days and then be available for the April 12 game against the Chennai Super Kings.

"Hazlewood will be joining the team in the next couple of days. Unlike others, he didn't directly link up with his franchise post-Pakistan series. As quoted to PTI, he has taken a short break due to personal reasons," an IPL source said.

Meanwhile, RCB Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson confirmed Glenn Maxwell's availability for RCB in the match against Mumbai Indians, scheduled on April 9.

Notably, RCB will be without the services of Glenn Maxwell for another game. Although the all-rounder has started training with the Bangalore-based team, a Cricket Australia clause allows their contracted players to feature in the league only from April 6.

"From a Cricket Australia point of view, no contracted players are available before April 6. So, regardless of when they arrive over here, no one can play until the 6th. We've been well aware of that as any other side; we've planned for that. Maxi will be with us and available from the 9th (of April)," Hesson informed.
