IPL 2022 | Jos Buttler hits fourth IPL ton of the season, reaches colossal 800-run mark

Jos Buttler is in the form of his life at the moment. The swashbuckling batter looks in ominous touch, and there's no stopping the England batter.

He is having an unforgettable IPL stint. He continued his red-hot form with the bat when he struck his fourth century of the season against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Qualifier 2 on Friday.

His knock helped the Royals progress towards their second IPL finale. They would be up against the newly formed franchise, Gujarat Titans. So, we might see a new champion or a team getting back to their winning taste just like their first edition.

After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, RR successfully restricted the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a mere 157 runs for eight wickets. And with a powerful batting department, it was a cakewalk for the Rajasthan Royals team. Buttler's 106 runs off 60 balls was the sole game-changer for the Rajasthan Royals as he single-handedly steered his side past the victory line.

Buttler has so far amassed 824 runs in 16 matches, and with that, he has become the third player to reach the 800-run mark in a single IPL season. Virat Kohli (973 runs in 2016 edition) and David Warner (848 runs in 2016 runs) were the ones who have achieved this feat.

So with just 24 more runs needed, there might be a chance for Jos Buttler to overtake Warner's second position in the most runs in an IPL season list.
