  • Ipl 2022 If They Pick Wickets It Makes Me Happy Yuzvendra Chahal Heaps Praise On Kuldeep And Hasaranga

IPL 2022 | If they pick wickets it makes me happy, Yuzvendra Chahal heaps praise on Kuldeep and Hasaranga

Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the best spinner in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The leg spinner is currently on top of the Purple Cap standings with 24 wickets to his name and is closely being tailed by RCB's Wanindu Hasaranga with 23 wickets against the tally.

Rajasthan Royals have almost stepped their foot into the knockouts after beating Lucknow Super Giants by 24 runs on Sunday. RR posted 178 runs on the board after batting first.

LSG batters failed to chase the target and lost the match considerably. Chahal picked up the big wickets of in-form batter Deepak Hooda, who scored 59 runs off 39 balls. With the wicket, Chahal regained his purple cap surpassing Hasaranga.

"Whatever he's doing, I am happy for him because he's like a brother to me. If he takes wickets, if Kuldeep takes wickets, I am happy with that," Chahal said.

However, Chahal isn't happy with his performance in the last match, conceding 42 runs. However, he took the crucial wicket of Hooda.

"We needed that win. For us to finish in the top two, we had to win this match. I was a little bit disappointed with myself, but I'll definitely come back in the next game. When Hooda was batting so well, the leg-side was shorter. I didn't want to take any risk. I tried to bowl a couple of flighted balls. He tried to hit sixes, so I didn't want to give any extra runs," he said after the match.

Rajasthan Royals moved to the second spot after winning the match by a considerable margin. RR won their eighth game of the tournament and needed one more win to qualify for the playoffs officially. However, the side have a close chance of finishing second place on the points table with their last game against the Chennai Super Kings.
