IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals - Fantasy Tips

The Delhi Capitals team has been one of the most underperforming teams in IPL history; however, this fact has become a complete myth in the last few years. Having said that, despite having a squad full of talented players in most of the seasons, they are yet to win the IPL trophy.

This year they will look to win their maiden IPL title. So, let’s look at the players you can pick from the Delhi squad regularly and players you can ignore most of the days.

Untamed: This category is for the best players in the squad. They will give you consistent good returns in most matches.

David Warner: With 5286 runs from 143 IPL matches, Warner is the best overseas player in the history of IPL. He also has an average of 40 fantasy points per game. So, he is the right candidate for your team to be selected as captain.

Rishabh Pant: Rishabh Pant scores at a strike rate of 147 in the IPL. Till last year one could have said the Pant is not a player you can trust every day. But the level of maturity he has displayed in his batting approach over the last year has made him a dependable option. With an average return of 36 fantasy points per game, Pant is also a must pick for your team.

Shilly Shally: Players who will take up high credit points but are not guaranteed to give you significant returns every day. They are the best captaincy options for grand league risk-takers.

Prithvi Shaw: There is little doubt regarding the young Indian batter’s talent quotient. But his consistency is an area of concern. His average return is 31 fantasy points per game. But if you include him in the team, you are taking a risk which if pays off, will give you big winnings, but on most of the days, you may lose some points from him.

Unhailed: These are the silent warriors of the team. They will go about their business without much fuss.

Shardul Thakur:  Shardul Thakur could be an asset to any team with his brilliant all-round abilities. He has recently shown an uncanny knack for scoring runs and picking wickets in critical situations. So, Shardul Thakur could be a significant pick for any team.

Stealthy Warriors: They represent players who are relatively new in the IPL.

Yash Dhull: Yash Dhull was the highest run-scorer for the Indian team in the latest edition of the U19 World Cup. He impressed everybody with his elegance and talent. So, if and when he gets a chance back him, he will give you good returns.

Mitchell Marsh: Mitch Marsh had a brilliant T20 World Cup in 2021. He put Australia ahead in many of the games. He is yet to make it big in the IPL, but he can be a valuable pick for you any given day with his all-round abilities.

Imposters: These are players who you should avoid if you don’t want to lose valuable points.

Sarfraz Khan: In spite of being a dynamic player and having a lot of potential, he has failed to impress in the IPL. But this year, he is coming with good form in the domestic circuit. So, you can risk taking him, but history says he will result in negative points most of the day.

Kuldeep Yadav: The left-arm chinaman bowler impressed everybody with his skills in the initial days. But with time, the batters have deciphered him successfully. In recent years his career has only taken a downward dip. His inclusion can only deduct points from your team’s tally.
