IPL 2022 | CSK vs SRH- Fantasy Picks

CSK will take on SRH in the 17th match of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams will look to register their first wins in the tournament. CSK has not started the tournament as the defending champions should have. They have lost all three matches so far and giving them company at the bottom of the points table is Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have lost both their games.

So, here are some fantasy tips that might be useful for the viewers.

Untamed:

Washington Sundar: Sundar being a part of the untamed category may be a surprise, but he has performed well both with the bat and ball in the tournament and has been an underrated player.

IPL 2022: In SRH’s first tournament match, Washington Sundar scored 40 runs off 14 deliveries in the lower order. Though the knock came at a stage when the game was over, it was still a great little cameo from the left-hand batter. In the second match, Sundar made his ball speak. He bowled four overs against LSG and picked up two wickets from his quota of 4 overs, conceding 28 runs. Hence, he is giving valuable points every match be it with the bat or ball, so he is an essential pick for the day.

Shivam Dube: After his bowling exploits against Lucknow, he is expected to be a part of the “Imposters” category. But he has been delivering with the bat for CSK. Dube’s batting appears to be one of the few positives the men in yellow can take from the tournament so far. 

Last 2 Matches: Dube scored 106 runs from 60 balls in the previous two matches. His strike rate is 176.66, and his RPI is 53. So, he is in red hot form with the bat. Moreover, with Chris Jordan on the team, CSK will not look to use Dube, the bowler. Thus, there are fewer chances of getting points deducted because of his bowling. So, the golden form that Dube has hit with his bat makes him a precious pick for the day.

Shilly Shally:

Ruturaj Gaikwad: The orange cap winner of the last season, Ruturaj Gaikwad is struggling big time with his form in IPL 2022. But there is little doubt regarding his talent, and he could soon fire big.

IPL 2022: He has just scored two runs from the first three matches in the tournament. Gaikwad is looking out of touch, and his off form is making his team suffer.

3 match jinx: In IPL 2020, he scored just five runs in the first three innings and followed it up with three consecutive half-centuries when he got the chance. In IPL 2021, in the first three matches, Gaikwad scored just scored 20 runs and then he finished the tournament as the highest run-scorer with 635 runs. 

So, after a dismal run in the first three innings of IPL 2022, today might be the day he fires big. It is more of guts which tells that Gaikwad will fire big today. His off-form makes him a risky pick.

Kane Williamson: Kane Williamson is the main-stay of the SRH batting order but has not fired yet in this season. The team will be looking at their skipper to find his form and fire big. 

IPL 2022: Williamson has scored 18 runs in the two matches till now in IPL 2022. But Williamson’s class is something that cannot be doubted. His off-form makes him a risky pick, but he can be a valuable inclusion.

Unhailed:

Robin Uthappa: Robin Uthappa is looking in good touch this season. He has scored a half-century against Lucknow. Although he failed in the last match, he is in his comfort zone. He can be a pick who will give some valuable points to a team.

Nicholas Pooran: Nicholas Pooran scored 34 runs off 24 deliveries in the last match against Lucknow. After not having a good run in the first game, it appears that Pooran is coming back in form. Hence, he can be a good pick for the match.

Stealthy Warriors:

Chris Jordan: Jordan has just played one match for CSK in the tournament so far. He bowled four overs and conceded 23 runs picking up two wickets. He can be the x-factor in the team. Picking him might be advantageous as many might avoid him, given his record.

Rahul Tripathi: Rahul Tripathi found his form back in the last match after failing in the opening encounter. With 44 runs in the previous game, he is coming into the match in good form. So, he can be a good pick for the match.

Imposters

Abhishek Sharma: Abhishek Sharma has not yet impressed with the bat in the tournament. Therefore, he is a player better to stay away from for the match.

Mukesh Choudhary: Mukesh Choudhary has been expensive with the ball and has not picked up a wicket. This will result in negative points if in the team.
