IPL 2022 | Arjun Tendulkar likely to make his IPL debut against Delhi Capitals

Mumbai Indians' (MI) speedster Arjun Tendulkar is likely to get a go in the franchise's last league fixture of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against the Delhi Capitals (DC).

Owing to their shambolic performance during the season, the Rohit Sharma-led unit are already out of the playoffs contention. They are now providing opportunities to those players who remained on the fringes for the better part of the competition.

The likes of Ramandeep Singh, Kumar Kartikeya, Hrithik Shokeen and Mayank Markande were finally included in the playing XI for a few games. But, Arjun still finds himself warming the benches.

However, as the MI skipper Rohit Sharma indicated at including a few more youngsters in the XI for the final encounter, Arjun may finally get a taste of the IPL.

"We have one more game after this, and we can try a few more guys in that game," Rohit had said during the toss against SRH.

The Mumbai-based franchise bought the 22-year-old left-arm seamer for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2022 mega-auction. 

In his T20 career, Arjun has played two games for his domestic side, Mumbai, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2020-21. He has claimed two wickets at an economy and an average of 9.57 and 33.50.
