IPL 2002 | CSK vs RCB - Fantasy Tips

It's time for another Southern Derby as Faf du Plessis' Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face off Ravindra Jadeja and Chennai Super Kings in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil stadium in Mumbai.

While there rivalry is folklore of the tournament, the two teams come into the match in different forms. Chennai have lost all four of their games in the tournament; however, on the contrary, Bangalore has won three out of their four matches.

To keep the conversation running, let's look at fantasy tips for the match.

Untamed: These players will be the highest point fetchers on most of the days.

Dinesh Karthik: Dinesh Karthik has scored at a strike rate of 210.87 in IPL 2022. He is providing some robust finishes for Bangalore in the tournament, making his current form makes him a must-pick for the match.

Wanindu Hasaranga: The wily Lankan leg-spinner has already picked up 8 wickets at an average of 15, getting wickets in every 12 deliveries in the tournament. It's expected that he will pick up 2 wickets in a spell of 4 overs. Thus, his form makes him a significant pick in the match.

Dwayne Bravo: 'DJ' Bravo has been only positive in CSK bowling. In IPL 2022, he has picked up 6 wickets with an average of 19.33. DJ is expected to pick up 2 wickets as per the stats in his four overs, making him an essential choice for fantasy players.

Shilly Shally: These are players whose forms keep fluctuating; hence expecting good returns from them every day can be risky.

Shivam Dubey: CSK's all-rounder has scored 112 runs in the tournament with a strike rate of 157.75, but the primary concern is his consistency. His RPI of 28 is evidence of his inconsistency; hence, picking him for this match might be risky.

Chirs Jordan: The English looked impressive in the death overs during his first match of the season. In the next game, he turned out to be an expensive option. So far, his hot and cold form in the tournament makes him a Ricky option to back in the match.

Unhailed: They are players one needs to back as they will eat up fewer credit points but give consistent returns.

Virat Kohli: Though fans and experts are considering VK out of form, he has scored 106 runs at a strike rate of 135.9 this season. Despite not being himself, he is returning some valuable fantasy points. Thus, he will be a valuable pick for this match.

Faf du Plessis: The newly tinted Bangalore skip has scored 138 runs at a strike rate of 138.43, and RPI is 34.50. Every fan of Faf's knows what and how he can do in a T20 encounter, plus hammering his ex-franchise won't be that tough for the Proteas batter.

Rabin Uthappa: Uthappa has looked in good touch in the score of 106 runs in the tournament at a batting strike rate of 153.62, proving him a profitable return.

Stealthy Warriors: These players are not so common names in the IPL. Hence picking them might give one an advantage over their competitors.

Glenn Maxwell: The Aussie star all-rounder impressed everybody in his first appearance of the season with a brilliant run-out and two consecutive match-sealing boundaries.

The team will hope that he picks up his batting form from where he left last year. This being his second match of the tournament places him in the 'Stealthy Warriors' category, but he will be a precious pick for the game.

Moeen Ali: Ali was seen in good touch in CSK's last match as he played a brilliant innings of 48 runs. The Englishman can also be handy with the ball in hand. With his batting form returning and bowling abilities, some valuable points can be expected.

Imposters: Players who are currently not at their best and are expected to give negative points.

Mukesh Choudhary: The left-arm pacer has picked up 2 wickets in three matches at an economy of 10.52. His presence will only result in negative returns. However, the pacer is unlikely to feature in the clash.

Mohammad Siraj: Siraj has recently grown in stature as a Test bowler, but he is entirely out for in the IPL 2022. In the 16 overs he has bowled so far, he has given away 178 runs at an economy rate of 11.12 and has picked up just 3 wickets. His current form makes him an imposter for the day.
