India vs West Indies schedule in doubt over rising Covid cases in the country

The Board of Control for Cricket in India might be forced to alter West Indies’ tour of India due to rising Covid-19 cases in the country. Originally scheduled to be held in six cities across the country, the BCCI might be forced to bring down the number of venues down to three.

The new look West Indies team are in line to play three T20I and three ODI matches in the country with the tour starting February 6 in Ahmedabad. According to the earlier schedule, the tour would have moved to Jaipur, Kolkata, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam and then concluded in Thiruvananthapuram on 20 February.

The Covid-19 situation in India has already moved towards a third wave, with the country clocking almost 1.5 lakh cases on a daily basis.
