India to host the Second edition of Legends League Cricket

The cricket-loving country, India will be hosting the second edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC). The tentative window for the tournament is September 20 to October 10. 


The first edition of the LLC was played in the Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Oman in January this year. It was a successful event, and attracted a huge footfalls from fans coming to witness their favourite cricket stars. 


World Giants are the current defending champions, with players like Kevin Pietersen, the Morkel brothers, and Corey Anderson. 


Raman Raheja, Co-founder, and CEO of the League expressed his happiness to shift the base from Oman to India.

"We have been constantly receiving requests from fans to hold the series in India and we are excited to bring the Legends League second season back home. We have the maximum number of cricket fans here in India," said Raheja. 


“We are sure that the cricketing fans will rejoice in our decision to shift the base to India as the excitement of watching live cricket cannot be matched.”


Draft Process and Players Availability for LLC 2


The draft process for LLC 2 will be underway in the first week of August. Around 110 players have marked their participation for the tournament. 


On Friday (22 July), the legendary Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn became the newest additions to the LLC. The former Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson will also be another key player to watch out for in this edition. 


Interestingly, the upcoming season may witness four teams squaring up against each other. According to the organizers, the franchise owners of IPL and PSL have expressed their interest in the League as well. 


In the last edition, India Maharajas, Asia Lions, and World Giants were the three teams participating in the competition.
