The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced the FTP schedule for 2022-23 where the side is slated to play 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is and three Tests during the course.
The schedule will begin in January with a three-match ODI series against Netherlands at home and the Afghan team will then travel to Zimbabwe in January-February for three ODIs and five T20Is. India will also host Afghanistan for three ODIs in March 2022.
“We are pleased to announce our FTP schedule for 2022-23. This includes a total of 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is & 3 tests in the period. Moreover, the national team will be taking part in various ICC & ACC events in two years,” the ACB said in a Twitter post.
Afghanistan will play a one-off Test against Ireland during their tour in July-August which will also comprise five ODIs. They will later play a two-match Test series against Zimbabwe in November-December which will also be the away fixtures. The Asian nation will play two T20Is and five ODIs as well on this tour.
Apart from this, Afghanistan also have the two Asia Cups, T20 World Cup and the ODI World Cup in the FTP schedule for 2022-23.
