IND vs SL | Day-Night Test: In-form India look to continue dominance at home

India and Sri Lanka will be locking horns in the Day-night Test in Bengaluru, slated to begin from March 12, 2022 in front of a full capacity crowd.

"KSCA is happy to inform that there has been very good response for viewership of the India vs Sri Lanka Day-Night Test cricket match being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore from 12-16 March, 2022. “

”Considering the high number of volume of response and since there are no further restrictions for spectators, KSCA will be opening up sale of tickets for full capacity of the stadium," KSCA treasurer Vinay Mruthyunjaya said in a statement.

The hosts are in some brilliant form after thumping the Lankan Lions in the first encounter by an innings and 222 runs in Mohali.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s inclusion in the squad has added a lot to the strength after the left-hander unleashed a scintillating show in the first match with both bat and ball. While he notched up an unbeaten 175 in the first innings, Jadeja returned with a total of 9 wickets in the match.

India at the moment, are pretty sorted with the line up and the kind of form they are in. The batting unit has chipped in with runs while the bowlers too have dominated pretty well.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka have a lot of work to do with the series on the line. While they thoroughly struggled with their batting, barring one or two batters, the bowlers didn’t really put up a great show either.

Sri Lanka need to win this game in order to atleast end the series in a draw.

Pitch Report

The track is likely to have something on offer for both batters as well as the bowlers. While it is expected to assist the batting unit in the initial phase of the day, the bowlers, especially pacers can have a good time in the final session of the play. But, if you win the toss, elect to bat.
