IND vs SL | 1st T20I: Deepak Hooda set to make his T20I debut for India

All-rounder Deepak Hooda will be making his T20I debut for India in the first match of the series against Sri Lanka in Lucknow.  Hooda has played two ODIs for India so far where he has scored 55 runs and has picked up one wicket during the course. He played both the games against West Indies.

The Indian team had suffered a blow after Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar were ruled out of the series due to respective injuries. But there were also some positives as all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was back in the squad after recovering from his injury.

The Men in Blue are going into this T20I series on the back of a thumping 3-0 whitewash against West Indies while the Lankan Lions suffered a 1-4 defeat against Australia away from home.
