Indian cricket saw some restructuring especially in the T20 format in the past few weeks. Former India skipper Rahul Dravid was handed the full-time job of the head coach for the side while Rohit Sharma replaced Virat Kohli as the captain.
While Dravid took over the reins from Ravi Shastri whose tenure ended with the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, Rohit on the other side took over the captaincy baton after Kohli had made the announcement to step down from the post after the global event.
Now, Dravid and Rohit both have a job at their hands straight away as India will be hosting New Zealand for a three-match T20I series beginning on Wednesday in Jaipur.
The Men in Blue had a disappointing run in the recently concluded T20 World Cup after they bowed out of the tournament in the group stage itself.
Moreover, the Virat Kohli-led side lost to Pakistan and New Zealand in their group fixtures. New Zealand on the other hand, made it to the final of the tournament but lost to Australia eventually.
The first match of the series will be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Pitch Report
The pitch in Jaipur is expected to help the batters throughout the game, so a high scoring encounter might be on the cards. Both the sides have some brutal strikers of the cricket ball and can be lethal on the given day. Nevertheless, if you win the toss, opt to bowl.
