The doctors attending BCCI President Sourav Ganguly have clarified that the decision on stent insertion into former India captain would be taken only when all tests are completed, crashing all the rumours of stent insertion and angiography.
“Mr Ganguly slept well all night. He had a light breakfast this morning. A series of tests will be conducted on him today to decide on the next course of treatment,” the senior doctor, part of the panel attending to the Bengal Tiger said.
“Once the test results arrive, we will be able to determine if two stents have to be inserted to open the blocks in his arteries,” the doctor added.
On Wednesday, the 48-year-old after complaints of dizziness and mild chest pain was admitted to a private hospital on EM Bypass from his Behala residence. A green corridor was created by the city police for his smooth travel to the hospital.
Earlier this month Ganguly was diagnosed with ‘triple vessel disease’ and a stent insertion was done in a coronary artery after he suffered a mild heart attack.
