England likely to tour Pakistan in September: Reports

According to the latest media reports from Pakistan, the England men's cricket team is all set to tour Pakistan for a 7-match T20I series. The two sides were expected to play a bilateral series last year. Still, England pulled out of the tour, citing players experiencing bio-bubble fatigue as the reason, offering to play two extra T20Is than initially planned for during the rescheduled tour.

According to Pakistan television channel Samaa, the seven-match T20I series will be played from September 15 to October 02, with the matches expected to be played across three venues - Multan, Rawalpindi and Lahore.

The report also mentions that earlier last week, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja met with British Commissioner Christian Turner and, in an interaction, mentioned that dates for the tour will be announced soon.

As per report, the two cricket boards have also established a working committee to ensure a successful series. The 7-match series will be a great preparatory boost for both teams ahead of the T20 World Cup scheduled in the 2nd half of October.

It is also given to understand that the Englishmen are likely to return to the country for a three-match Test series post the T20 World Cup.
