“Don’t underestimate the way they are bowling,” Michael Vaughan impressed with England bowlers

Former England captain Michael Vaughan is highly impressed with the England bowlers for putting up a brave fight against India. The fourth day of the fifth rescheduled Test match in Edgbaston between India and England saw a lot of drama on the field.

India put up a massive score of 416 runs in the first innings, while England were restricted to just 284 runs. Batting in their second innings, the visitors had an edge with a lead of 132 runs.

However, the hosts came up with a sensational performance with the ball. English bowlers hardly made any errors as India were dismissed for just 245 runs.

Skipper Ben Stokes led the side by example on the fourth day and picked four wickets. Matty Potts and Stuart Broad aptly supported him as they scalped two wickets each.

Vaughan took to his official Twitter handle to laud the bowlers.

"All the talk about England's batting is great but don’t underestimate the way they are bowling very strong batting line ups Out in the 2nd innings of the Test consistently to give them these chases .. #ENGvIND," Vaughan tweeted.

England on the cusp of victory in Birmingham

Day four of the Test match belonged to England as they shifted the momentum on their side. However, the Three Lions have quite a challenge ahead of themselves as they look to chase a target of 378 runs in the final innings.

The opening pair of Alex Lees and Zak Crawley have managed to lay the foundations for the rest of the side. The two players stitched a partnership of 107 runs for the first wicket.

India made a comeback by picking up three wickets in quick succession. However, England were quick to get back on track. Following a short collapse, the dynamic duo of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow ruled the 22-yard pitch.

The two players lit up a gloomy England dug-out. Root and Bairstow will kickstart the final day at 76* and 72*, respectively. England will need to score just 119 runs to claim a victory and level the five-match series.
