The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has taken major steps against racism as they have reprimanded 5 of their players for historical social-media posts. Danni Wyatt, Jack Brooks, Eve Jones, Azeem Rafiq and Andrew Gale are the 5 players who have come under the scanner.

The Cricket Discipline Commission adjudicator Chris Tickle has found the five former or current cricketers guilty but they will face no further actions. All five of them have admitted that they have breached ECB directive 3.3 which is as follows: "no such person may conduct themself in a manner or do any act or omission which may be prejudicial to the interests of cricket or which may bring the game of cricket or any cricketer or group of cricketers into disrepute".

Azeem Rafiq has responded to the actions of the ECB via his Twitter account. He has accepted the charges against him and promised to not question the decision of the CDC.

Jones and Wyatt are two of the cricketers who have also admitted a breach of ECB Directive 3.4.

The two English cricketers Wyatt and Jones have been charged due to a 'blackface' Instagram post that dates back to 2013.
