Royal London One-Day Cup 2022 | Dane Vilas scythes through Sussex as Lancashire storm into final
Lancashire players celebrate win
Lancashire trashed Sussex at Hove in the second of the two semi-finals played out on August 30.
Their South African import, Dane Vilas, orchestrated the win through his tenth List A hundred and his first of the ongoing Royal London Cup 2022 season.

After repeated new-ball jitters, Vilas lifted his side from 67-5 to 271-7 by the time of his dismissal. The Lancashire batters sustained one more casualty, in the form of Danny Lamb, as they bolted their way to a demoralizing 319-8 off their 50 overs.
In response, Sussex faced just 46.3 overs in the run-chase to hand a 65-run semi-final victory to the Keaton Jennings-led side. Opener Ali Orr scored the lone half-century with his 71, while in-form captain Cheteshwar Pujara failed to make the big day count with a 10-run outing.
As many as six batters in the innings were clean-bowled by the Lancashire bowlers, with Liam Hurt inflicting the most damage with his three-fer. Will Williams, Danny Lamb and George Balderson played supporting roles with the ball by claiming two wickets each.
Lancashire will now face Kent for a shot at the 2022 Royal London Cup title on September 17 at Trent Bridge.
