Ben Stokes Joins This RCB Player To Play In This League After 3 Years' Gap

Ben Stokes to play in The Hundred 2024 (x.com)

The Northern Supercharges of the Hundred will have the services of England's Test captain, Ben Stokes for the 2024 edition of the league. Stokes, who played in the inaugural season, missed the next two subsequent editions due to injury and personal reasons.

However, Ben Stokes has made himself available to play for the Superchargers in The Hundred 2024 under the leadership of Harry Brook. The former Chennai Super Kings player is be sharing the dressing room with Royal Challengers Bengaluru seamer - Reece Topley.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old all-rounder will complete his national commitment and join the Northern Supercharges squad, just like the other English Test players currently playing in the three-match series against West Indies. 

Test players like Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Ben Duckett, Chris Woakes, Brook, Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope will be available for the entire season of the Hundred 2024.

However, Stokes would just play four matches in the competition.

Additionally, the ECB has asked the franchises to manage the workload of pacers like Gus Atkinson, Matthews Potts and Dillon Pennington.

The Hunded 2024 will begin on July 22 with Oval Invincibles versus Birmingham Phoenix clash.
