Australia's wicket-keeper batter, Alyssa Healy has been ruled out of the T20I series against Pakistan as she continues to recover from the calf injury sustained during the India tour.

According to a statement released by Cricket Australia, Healy will be available for the upcoming T2O World Cup, set to take place in February. She will remain with the squad during the series and will continue her rehab process.

Healy, who was made the Australian captain for the India tour in the absence of Meg Lanning, injured her calf in the fourth T20I and sat out of the fifth game of the series in Mumbai. All-rounder Tahlia McGrath took over as the captain, while Beth Mooney kept wickets in Healy's absence.

Australia have already announced their squad for the white-ball series against Pakistan, with regular skipper Meg Lanning set to make her long awaited return.

The Pakistan women's tour of Australia commences from January 16. The ODI leg will take place first, followed by the T20I series.
