Arriving at the crease at 27/4, in the middle of a collapse, Nehal Wadhera stood tall and put resistance to Lucknow Super Giants running away with the game. He scored a rather slow but important 46(41) as Mumbai Indians ended the innings at 144/7.

In the quest to make a decent recovery, the 23-year-old stitched two crucial partnerships of 53 and 32 with Ishan Kishan and Tim David respectively and gave the bowlers something respectful to defend.

In the mid-game interview, reflecting on his knock and missing out on a fifty, Wadhera said that missing out on fifty didn't matter to him.

"I don't think of milestones. I just want MI to win. I'm really happy that I could lead my team's recovery. It is important for us to return to winning ways. We need to win all our remaining games [to stay alive for the playoffs]. Let's see what happens," Wadhera added.

Although, he said that they could've scored more, he also said that there is enough in the wicket which will help the bowlers to defend the score.

Chasing MI's 144, Lucknow Super Giants started off decently after a golden duck on debut for Arshin Kulkarni. LSG find themselves in the pole position as they have scored 52/1 at the end of the powerplay.

At the time of publishing, LSG has lost 4 wickets at a score of 114 after 15 overs chasing 145 runs.
