Sanju Samson scored 69 off 42 balls, laced with eight fours and two sixes, to give Jos Buttler fitting support on Saturday during Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

And arguably the best shot of his knock came during the 10th over of RR’s innings when Mohammed Siraj was up against him.

To be fair, it was a poor delivery by Siraj, bowling short outside the off stump to a batsman who just got a lifeline after Virat Kohli’s rare drop catch. The RR skipper saw the opportunity and went for it, flying with both feet above the ground, to play an audacious uppercut.

And the timing was so perfect, as the ball sailed over the third man for six runs.

RR rode on Jos Buttler's spectacular unbeaten century to chase a 184-run target with six wickets and five balls to spare. They have now won four wins on the trot, whereas RCB have now lost four out of their five matches.

RCB will next face Mumbai Indians on April 11, while RR will go up against Gujarat Titans a day earlier.
