Seems like the Indian cricket fans have decided to target Hardik Pandya wherever he goes. The fans have turned their backs on him and it was once again being evident during the IPL 2024 clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede Stadium.

The MI skipper was booed again at toss time and presenter Sanjay Manjrekar had to intervene to silence the matter. He told the Mumbai crowd to behave properly and applaud their skipper.

Ever-since Pandya has taken over the MI captaincy from Rohit Sharma, things have turned from bad to worse for the Indian all-rounder. He was the subject of racial abuse in Mumbai's first game of the IPL season in Ahmedabad, and the boos continued when MI faced SRH in Hyderabad, a couple of days ago.

It has even been reported that the Mumbai franchise is in a turmoil and the locker room has been divided into two groups.

Talking about the ongoing match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and they elected to field first. The decison paid off as Rohit Sharma departed for a duck and soon MI were tottering at 20/4, before Pandya, alongside Tilak Varma resurrected the innings.

The duo added 56 runs for the 5th wicket before Pandya perished for 34 of 21 balls.
