It has been a tough few months for the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, Hardik Pandya. Ever-since his appointment as the leader of the MI side, Hardik has constantly faced backlash from cricket pundits and the Indian cricket fans.

Fans have been furious that the franchise has removed Rohit Sharma as the MI skipper and have given the command to Hardik, who was leading the Gujarat Titans for the last two seasons.

The fan backlash reached new heights when Hardik received constant verbal abuse from the crowd in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. The all-rounder also received racial abuse, which has been condemmed by former cricketers.

Ahead of the crucial IPL 2024 clash against the high-flying Rajasthan Royals (RR), Mumbai Indians' official social media account published a video of Hardik, having a fun time out with his son, Agastya. The post was titled as 'Just a little boy having fun with his dad'.

The 30-year-old could be seen playing drumbs with his son and composing a tune of their own.

What's at stake for Hardik and MI?

After losing back-to-back matches in the ongoing season, and languishing at the bottom of the points table, MI are in desperate need for a victory.

Another loss and questions will be raised on Hardik's captaincy and the decision of the MI franchise to remove their most successful captain, Rohit from the post.
