Continuing his good form of runs, KL Rahul yet again started off well against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Ekana Stadium on Tuesday. Considering a slightly lower target, Rahul started slowly and overtook Rishabh Pant and in the process, became the first wicketkeeper to complete 400 runs in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024).

Amidst being just 6*(14), he took on Nuwan Thushara and scored 19 runs off his over in the fifth over of the innings. Unfortunately, the LSG captain got out to Hardik Pandya on 28 (22), thanks to Mohammed Nabi's incredible effort on the boundary but he did his job of giving a good foundation as Lucknow Super Giants just 82 in 74 balls when he got out.

Among the prominent keepers playing in the IPL 2024, Rishabh Pant is the next on the list with 398 runs, followed by Sanju Samson (385) and Jos Buttler (319)

Nevertheless, after quite a few seasons, Rahul has looked like the older version of himself this season, scoring quicker and taking on the bowlers on his will.

With three fifties in the campaign so far and the highest score of 82 (53) against CSK, the LSG captain is fourth in the orange cap leaderboard.

As he sits 4th in the most runs tally, the two players ahead of him are Sai Sudarshan and Ruturaj Gaikwad are within the distance of 40 runs.
