CSK Hand Sameer Rizvi Debut In The Opening Game Of IPL 2024 Vs RCB

Sameer Rizvi, the 20-year-old batter has been handed debut by Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings in the curtain raiser of IPL 2024. CSK are up against RCB at Chepauk and the visitors have won the toss and decided to bat first.
Rizvi is a right-handed batter and is known for his power-hitting and was bought for a whopping price of 8.4 Crore in IPL 2024 Auction. He has been selected as a replacement of Ambati Rayudu who retired after IPL 2023. He plays for UP in the domestic circuit and has a stunning average of 49.16 with a strike rate of 134.70.
CSK have also made surprising and big changes of making Ruturaj Gaikwad captain in place of legendary MS Dhoni and it would be interesting to see how they go about their business after winning their 5th title in the last season.
RCB, on the other hand, have changed their name ahead of the season and will be known as Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They have also changed the colour of their jersey and it promises to be a cracking start to the season, with two power-packed teams going head-to-head.
