Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to face each other once again in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 18. 

This high-ocatne clash holds immense importance for both teams, as they eye a victory to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Two days prior to the match, CSK stalwart MS Dhoni received a warm welcome from the RCB camp, where he was greeted by the team's support staff with a steaming cup of tea. 

Amidst the anticipated rainy weather of Bengaluru, Dhoni enjoyed his favorite beverage during a break in their training session, clad in his CSK training kit. Making a 'cheers' gesture, Dhoni bid farewell to the dressing room, leaving behind warm wishes from the franchise, "Welcome to Bengaluru Mahi."

Dhoni's love for chai is is well-documented. In an interview, MSD described himself as old school and expressed his fondness for tea due to its simplicity. He stated that if offered tea during practice, he would always accept it, considering it his guilty pleasure and something irresistible.

Coming to his form in the ongoing IPL season, the swashbuckling batter has showcased impressive form with the bat, often making impactful cameos during the death overs.

With 136 runs scored in 10 innings this season, Dhoni has a remarkable strike rate of 226.66, featuring 11 fours and 12 sixes. As he gears up to face RCB, Dhoni will look to make a big contribution in CSK's quest for playoff qualification. 

Notably, he holds an impressive record against the Bengaluru-based franchise, having accumulated 839 runs in 35 matches at a blistering strike rate of 140.77.
