Stephen Fleming To Quit CSK After IPL 2024 To Replace Rahul Dravid As India's Head Coach?

Stephen Fleming, the most successful head coach in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), could replace Rahul Dravid as India’s main man following the conclusion of the upcoming T20 World Cup, which will take place in the West Indies and the USA.

The legendary Kiwi opener, who has been with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since 2009, is projected as one of the frontrunners to take over the Men In Blue's leadership duties, although he has to make a big sacrifice to turn it into a reality.

To take over India's head coach role, Fleming must quit the Yellow Army, and resign as the head coach of the MS Dhoni-starred side.

However, as of now, BCCI has not contacted Fleming to take over the about-to-be-vacated position.

"I have not heard anything like this. There has been no communication from Stephen Fleming to CSK either," CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed the current update to Sports Now.

Apart from Fleming, multiple reports suggest that the BCCI ideally looks for proven individuals such as Ricky Ponting, VVS Laxman and Justin Langer to be a 'suitable candidate’ as Dravid’s replacement. Now only time will tell who gets the offer and accepts it. Nevertheless, Fleming’s experience and the legacy he built at CSK make him one of the most exciting options for this role among many.
