'Justice For Rinku Singh' - Netizens Express Dissatisfaction Over India's T20 World Cup Squad

In a shocking development on Tuesday (April 30), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to drop Rinku Singh from India’s main squad, which will be in action in the forthcoming T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

Rinku, the 26-year-old, has been one of the most consistent T20 performers for both KKR and India for a while now, as evidenced by his international numbers (356 runs in 11 innings at an average of 89 and a strike rate of 176.23) since making his T20I debut in August, 2023.

Even though Rinku has not had many chances in the ongoing edition of IPL for KKR due to top-order's heroics, netizens showed their anger and frustration on social media after the call made by BCCI. Almost everyone felt Rinku was the most deserving candidate in India’s T20 World Cup squad, and hence, it was nothing but injustice in their opinions.

Just to confirm, Rinku will be in India’s squad at the showpiece event, although only as one of the four traveling reserves.

The T20 World Cup will get underway on June 2, while India will play their first match in the competition on June 5.
