AUS vs WI: Kraigg Brathwaite upbeat about West Indies' Pink-Ball Test preparation

West Indies will take on hosts Australia in the much-awaited two-Test Frank Worrell Trophy, which begins on November 30. Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite, currently leading the Windies in a four-day warm-up match against Prime Ministers XI, sounded upbeat about their chances in the scheduled Pink-Ball Test.
The ongoing match between PM XI and West Indies is also a pink-ball unofficial match, where the visitors are bowling after losing the toss. The customary Day/Night Test will once again be played at the iconic Adelaide Oval between December 8-12.
Speaking with CWI Twitter, Brathwaite stated that his team needs to be mentally prepared when playing in a day-night Test.
"Gearing towards the first Test, it’s a pink ball game, so it would be good to get used to the pink ball and the [cold] conditions here in Australia.
It [the pink ball] will react differently off the surface, especially when the lights turn on, so I think that’s something we’ve got to be aware of both as a bowling unit and a batting unit. It tends to do a lot more at night so that’s just something we’ve got to keep on our minds.”
The first three-day warm-up match ended in a draw for the Brathwaite-led XI, where the captain scored a fine 114-ball 75.
The first match of the two-Test series will be played at Perth.
