Sri Lanka Women will be up against United Arab Emirates Women in the 4th match of the Women's Asia Cup 2022 at Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet on Sunday, October 2. 

Sri Lanka Women lost their opening match against India on Saturday as they were bundled out for 109 runs while chasing the target of 151 runs. 

Star pacer Oshadi Ranasinghe continued her good run of form and scalped three crucial wickets. With the bat, only opener Harshitha Madavi and Hasini Perera could score runs. 

United Arab Emirates Women, on the other hand had a terrible outing in the recently concluded ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. 

Heading into the Asia Cup 2022, UAE Women will be eager to put the disappointment of the T20 World Cup Qualifier behind and commence the multinational tournament on a victorious note. 

Key Players

Chamari Athapaththu: She failed to score runs in the opening game but has been one of the most consistent run scorers for Sri Lanka Women. Overall in 99 T20I appearances, she has scored over 2000 runs and picked 32 wickets as well.

Harshitha Madavi: She started the tournament campaign with a bang, scoring 26 runs with the help of five boundaries in the opening match. She will be an automatic pick for this match.

Hasini Perera: She played some terrific shots in the opening encounter against India Women and looked in sublime touch. She scored 30 runs off 32 balls at a strike rate of 93.75.

Oshadi Ranasinghe: The Sri Lankan pacer continued where she left off in the Commonwealth Games 2022. She picked three crucial wickets against India Women while conceding just 32 runs in her four overs' spell.

Khushi Sharma: The Emirates pacer has been in a great touch lately. She picked up six wickets in her last six innings so far. Overall in 26 T20I innings, she scalped 26 wickets at an economy of 5.63.
