Pakistan won the first game by a narrow margin

Hosts Netherlands will lock horns with Pakistan in the second ODI of the three-match series in Rotterdam tomorrow at 2.30 PM IST. 

Despite putting up a heroic effort with the bat, the Dutch were handed a narrow 16-run defeat by the visitors in the first match yesterday. However, their bowlers were abysmal towards the back end, allowing Pakistan smash 99 runs in the last ten overs. 

Pakistan, although won the first game, would love to get better returns from their two prime middle-order batters, Mohammad Rizwan and Khushdil Shah. The spinners Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz would also want some wickets under their belt in this game.

Although he got off to a slow start, Fakhar Zaman later made up for it in style by smashing a scintillating 109 in the first ODI yesterday.

Fakhar, who averaged just 27.5 in ODI cricket this year prior to this game, finally regained his touch, bringing respite to the visitors' camp. He is an extremely talented individual, who can smash pace and spin with the utmost perfection. Considering his ability and form, we expect the dashing opener to play another impactful knock tomorrow.

• Babar Azam, Pakistan's best batter, slammed a gorgeous 74 in the opening encounter. 
• Scott Edwards continued his glorious form, scoring a flamboyant 60-ball 71* yesterday. 
• Naseem Shah dismantled the Dutch batting unit in the first game, scalping three wickets for 51 runs. 
• Bas de Leede starred with the ball for the hosts, claiming two wickets for just 42 runs.

Pitch Report: The track at Rotterdam played extremely well yesterday, witnessing an average score of 306. So, it's expected to be flatter, offering a little assistance to the bowlers.
