Kyle Mayers

Innings: 4 Runs: 110 Runs Per Innings: 27.50 Strike Rate: 127.91

Kyle Mayers was the second highest run scorer amongst the openers in the series. Thus, he slots in to that second opening position alongside SKY.

Middle Order

Rishabh Pant (wk)

Innings: 4 Runs: 115 Runs Per Innings: 28.75 Strike Rate: 141.98

Contrary to his general flamboyant nature, Pant played the role of solidifying the innings for India in the series. In spite of that he has a strike rate of 141.98 and makes it to the team as the wicket-keeper batter.

Nicholas Pooran

Innings: 5 Runs: 81 Runs Per Innings: 16.20 Strike Rate: 128.57

Though Nicholas Pooran did not fire big in the series, he showed some glimpses of his capability especially in the 4th T20I. He is also the fourth highest run-scorer for West Indies in the series and hence earns a spot in the team.

Shimron Hetmyer

Innings: 5 Runs: 115 Runs Per Innings: 23 Strike Rate: 126.37

Shimron Hetmyer was the lone warrior for West Indies in the fifth T20I where wickets kept falling from the other end. His knock of 56 runs from 35 balls took him to the third spot of the highest run getters in the series.

All Rounders

Hardik Pandya (c)

Batting

Innings: 4 Runs: 64 Runs Per Innings: 16 Strike Rate: 114.29

Bowling

Innings: 4 Wickets: 2 Economy Rate: 6.00

In terms of the standards he has set for himself in the recent past, this was an ordinary series for him. But he played some cameos and was handy with the ball. He also earned a convincing victory as the skipper of the team in the last match. So, Hardik Pandya grabs the spot of skipper of the team.

Spinners

Akeal Hosein

Innings: 4 Wickets: 4 Economy Rate: 5.75

Even though he picked up only 4 wickets in the series, Akeal Hosein was the most stand out bowler for the Windies. He troubled the Indian top order batters on a regular basis and finds the place in our team of the series.
