Rajasthan Royals (RR) have extended their dominance in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) by defeating Hardik Pandya's Mumbai Indians (MI) with a comprehensive nine-wicket victory on Monday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. 

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the plan backfired against MI as the openers failed until the partnership between Nehal Wadhera and Tilak Verma came as a rescue for Mumbai and posted a total of 179/9. 

In return, Rajasthan's fast bowler Sandeep Sharma became the talk of town as he scalped 5 wickets conceding only 18 runs. 

After a season of struggle, Yashasvi Jaiswal announced his prominence in style ahead of the selection of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 squad. 

In chasing the target MI bowlers were exposed as young Yashasvi Jaiswal leads RR Chase With Gritty Century as he scored 104* off 60 balls with 7 maximums and 9 fours.

In a video that went viral on social media and uploaded by Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal is seen having a light-hearted conversation with Rohit Sharma. 

There is the level of satisfaction and happiness is seen on his face after smashing his second century in the cash-rich league and both against formidable Mumbai Indians. 

The young Indian sensation is expressing himself to former MI captain Rohit Sharma and stating: Match Jeetna important hai! Bas, aur kuch nahi chahiye! [I just want to win matches. I don't want anything else.]

Jaiswal has had an average start to the IPL 2024, he has scored 225 runs in 8 matches with a strike rate of 157.34. 

The Sanju Samson & Co. have had a significant start to the prolific league winning seven out of eight matches they have played so far. 

RR will play its next match against LSG on April 27, 2024, at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
