Home boy Riyan Parag had a memorable day on the field in Rajasthan Royals' 13th group-stage match against Punjab Kings at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. 

After contributing handy 48 runs with the bat, Parag showcased his fielding brilliance, helping Yuzvendra Chahal get the prized breakthrough of Jitesh Sharma with a sharp low catch. 

The incident occurred during the 16th over of the Kings' innings when Jitesh was guiding them towards victory alongside stand-in skipper Sam Curran. 

Chahal had a poor start to the over, conceding eight runs, including a wide and a boundary, off his first three deliveries. However, he had the last laugh against Jitesh, sending him back to the hut on his fourth ball. 

It was a flighted delivery from Chahal as he invited Jitesh for a big hit. In a bid to clear the fence and collect six runs for his team, the Vidarbha batter fell in the trap, miscuing the shot towards the long on. 

Riyan Parag, who was stationed near the boundary, ran and bent forward to claim a magnificent catch, sending Jitesh back to the dugout. 

The wicket came at a wrong time for Punjab as Jitesh and Curran had already formed a scintillating stand. However, they are still in the driving seat, placed at 116 for five, needing 29 runs to win in 19 balls as of writing.
