Hardik Pandya has been under heavy criticism since he was appointed as the captain of Mumbai Indians in place of Rohit Sharma ahead of IPL 2024. He was booed quite brutally in MI's opening game of IPL 2024 against GT, and now again in the second game, he is facing the same situation with crowd in Hyderabad booing Hardik right from the toss.
The incident happened for the first time when Hardik won the toss and started to talk. The trolling and booing did not stop there, he was again booed when he came out to bowl the second over of match.

Mumbai Indians led by Hardik Pandya lost the first match against GT as they failed to chase down the target despite starting well, and Hardik would be looking to prove a point by delivering as an all-rounder in this game. They are bowling first and have made only one change with Kwena Maphaka handed a debut in place of Luke Wood.
SRH, on the other hand, have brought in Travis Head and Jaydev Unadkat in this game and the Aussie opener is doing his job perfectly with a blazing start in the Powerplay.
