Piyush Chawla is one of those rare cricketers who are still playing IPL after making their debut in the inaugural season. He is still going strong after 16 long years and in the 67th match of IPL 2024, once again showed his quality by getting the better of dangerous Marcus Stoinis.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first on a Wankhede pitch that is known to be great for batting. Thushara got the better of Devdutt Padikkal in the very first over but Stoinis batted well and decided to counter-attack. KL Rahul also decided to break the shackles in the final over of the Powerplay, and banged two consecutive sixes to put the pressure back on MI.

However, Chawla unveiled his vintage googly and outfoxed Marcus Stoinis to peg back LSG again. It was a tossed up delivery on the off-stump line Stoinis tried to slog-sweep it. He missed it completely though as the ball came back in sharply and hit him on his back leg. Chawla appealed in unison with other MI players and the umpire raised his finger.

Stoinis did thought of taking the DRS, but decided against it, and once again Chawla proved that he is one of the finest tweakers in the history of IPL.
