On Tuesday, Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) faced another heart-shattering loss as Lucknow Super Giants toppled RCB's star-studded lineup at their home, M. Chinnaswamy.

The RCB vs LSG clash was about the visiting side's dominance, who sealed the match by a massive margin of 28 runs, courtesy of Quinton de Kock, Mayank Yadav and Nicholas Pooran.

Here's the timeline of how RCB vs LSG panned out at Chinnaswamy -

RCB vs LSG Highlights: KLR & QDK's powerpacked start

After losing the toss, LSG's openers—KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock—were asked to bat first at Bengaluru's flat strip. The openers attacked the RCB's new-ball bowlers, tonking Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, and Yash Dayal for fun.

However, the part-timer Glenn Maxwell drew the first blood for the Royal Challengers, dismissing the localboy Rahul in the sixth over; however, the South African explosive batter did not stop.

RCB vs LSG Highlights: de Kock's explosive 81

The Protea's flamboyant batter staged the perfect platform for the Lucknow batters in the first innings with his 81 off 56 balls, where he smoked eight boundaries and five mighty maximums.

Quinton de Kock was particularly hyper-aggressive against RCB's best bowler, Siraj, but he was robbed off a century by Topley in the 17th over.

RCB vs LSG Highlights: The Pooran finishing

Alongside QDK, Nicholas Pooran emerged as RCB's second-biggest nemesis with the bat. At the score of 2 runs, the disruptive batter was dropped by Anuj Rawat on the bowling of Yash Dayal.

The dropped catch by Anuj Rawat on Yash Dayal's bowling proved to be a costly mistake for the Faf du Plessis-led side. Pooran, taking full advantage of the reprieve, went on to score a blistering 40 not-out off just 21 deliveries, including five sixes.

Pooran not only played a dynamic knock but also ensured LSG had momentum during the mid-innings break. Eventually, the LSG vice-captain's 40* made the difference in the result of the RCB vs LSG clash.

RCB vs LSG Highlights: M Siddharth castling King Kohli

In the chase of 182 runs, all eyes were set on the maestro Virat Kohli, who has been the lone in-form RCB batter in the season. The King, as they call him, started off brilliantly - tackling the LSG bowlers well. However, he played one too many strokes in the powerplay, and Lucknow's ploy of bowling spinners with the new ball worked.

LSG's impact player for the game, Manimaran Siddharth fooled the former RCB captain on 21, after which the home batters collapsed like a pack of cards.

RCB vs LSG Highlights: Mayank Yadav's steamy show

It was another fine day at the office for the 21-year-old Mayank Yadav, who has now won two Player of the Match awards in his brief two-match career in the cash-rich league.

At Bengaluru, against a star-studded batting lineup like RCB's, Mayank showed what the new-age Indian seamers can do. With his sheer pace and fearsome line length, the Delhi-based speedster got rid of Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Rajat Patidar—beating the trio with his lightning-quick pace.

Green's dismissal was the best of the lot as Australia's generational talent got late on bringing his bat down on time, resulting in his off-stump going for a toss.

What Mayank Yadav did was he stopped the run flow during the RCB innings, which increased the pressure on the middle-order batters in the chase. Hence, the Lucknow Super Giants defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 28 runs on Tuesday.
