That's the end of our coverage for this game. Till tomorrow, it's a goodnight and a ta-ta from me, Anurag Dasgupta and my co-commentator, Anurag Singh.
Shahrukh Khan | Winning skipper: The way we started with the ball, I thought we were really good. We just couldn't pick a wicket in the powerplay and we finished off well. The batting from Sai and Ganga was terrific. The way we finished with almost two overs to spare is phenomenal. He (Sai Sudharsan) is a wonder boy for us and for Tamil Nadu cricket. He just needs to be left alone, believe on his instinct and keep going.
Ganga Sridhar Raju | Man of the Match: The first six was my favourite shot today because it went a long way. I think I am playing well. So I want to go over the top always and use the powerplay well (smiles).
Rahil Shah | Losing captain: I thought it (the total) was about par. But they batted well and took the game away from us. Little bit (missing on an off-spinner). But both the left arm spinners bowled well at the start, contained and there were a couple of drop catches. Those catches impacted the result. I just ask them to give their 100 percent when they are on the field. He (Sathvik) has been really good for us at the top order and hopefully he continues throughout the tournament.
Time for the presentation ceremony
DG: But then it was carnage time as Raju and Sai Sudharsan decided to put the foot on the accelerator and shifted to the fifth gear. They played some exquisite shots and made the most of the sloppy fielding by the Warriors. The duo added 100+ runs for the second wicket and took the game away from the opposition. Despite losing Raju for a well compiled 74, Kings were never troubled by the runs on the board as they chased down the target with 11 balls to spare.
DG: Chasing a stiff target of 172, Ganga Sridhar Raju and R Kavin were off to a flying start. Raju in particular looked like a man possessed as he bludgeoned the Warriors pace attack and took the pressure off his partner who struggled to time the ball properly. Kavin got a bit greedy and he perished for 11 while trying to up the ante.
DG: That's the end of the match and it has been a thorough professional performance from the Lyca Kovai Kings who have made a mockery of this stiff target and have won the game by 8 wickets. Take a bow, Kovai Kings.
18.1 A Dhas to S Khan
4 Four! Match done and dusted! A comprehensive victory for the Kovai Kings! Full right in the slot. Khan clears his front leg and drills it down the ground to end the match with a boundary..
18.1 A Dhas to S Khan
NB6 SIX! Well, that was pitched way above the waist height and will surely be called a no-ball. Khan is taken by surprise as he swivels to that delivery and still manages to pull it well above the long leg fence for a MAXIMUM. The scores are level now.
Saravana Kumar P
B Sai Sudharsan
17.6 S Kumar to Sudharsan
4 Four! That should be the final nail in the coffin! Full and a bit wide outside the off. Sudharsan plays a lovely drive through the covers and will end the over with a magical boundary..
17.5 S Kumar to S Khan
1 Slower back of a hand delivery on the off. Khan fails to get the bat down on time and checks his drive towards the covers.
17.4 S Kumar to Sudharsan
1 Full and outside the off. Sudharsan reaches for it and plays a one-handec slash towards wide third man for a single..
17.3 S Kumar to Sudharsan
0 This was a low full toss and Kumar is really lucky to get away with that delivery. Sudharsan fails to clear the covers with his attempted drive.
17.2 S Kumar to Sudharsan
0 Another slower one and yet again Sudharsan fails to beat the man at point with his attempted cut shot.
17.1 S Kumar to Sudharsan
0 Slower outside the off. Sudharsan cuts it hard, but he finds the man at point..
B Sai Sudharsan
16.6 R Shah to S Khan
6 SIXX!!! That is muscled by the skipper. Short ball from Shah to Shahrukh who pounces on this and lands this deep in the mid wickets stands for a huge six.
16.5 R Shah to Sudharsan
1 Steers this full length delivery down the ground to follow up with a single.
