Mary-Anne's Bio

A prolific all-rounder, Mary Anne-Musonda started her cricketing journey in 2004 as a pacer before switching to spin due to injury. The tall spinner has also featured in club basketball competitions in Zimbabwe and played for Vixens in 2016.

She made her debut in 2005 during the Africa World Cup Qualifiers in which Zimbabwe women won the competition in Kenya. She played for the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team in the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier in February 2017 and was the highest run-getter for Zimbabwe, with 113 runs in the coveted tournament.

Replacing the injured Chipo Muggeri in her maiden T20I match, she was named as the skipper for their home series against Namibia in December 2018. Following ICC’s suspension of Zimbabwe Cricket in July 2019, Mary was one of the four players banned from playing in the 2019 Kia Super League. She made a comeback in February 2021 and skippered her side against Pakistan Women in a three-match ODI series and one T20I match.
